Productbeschrijving : Bedford QL
The Bedford QL range of military trucks was created in the late 1930s, at the request of the British Army for a modern and versatile transport vehicle. Trials were completed in 1940 and it was early in 1941 that the Bedford QLs arrived in units. Throughout the Second World War, they were used on different fronts and constituted an excellent logistical tool thanks to their four-wheel drive and their relatively low weight which increased their load capacity. Due to its flexibility and robustness, the QL was also used to tow and transport artillery pieces such as the 6 Pdr anti-tank gun or the 40mm Bofors anti-aircraft gun. Equipped with a 72hp 6-cylinder gasoline engine, it is also characterized by its ease of maintenance and repair, an important element on the battlefield.
