The “Schwerer Panzerspähwagen” Sd.Kfz.234 armored vehicles were produced by the German war industry in the final phase of the Second World War. These remarkably designed machines combined mobility, operational flexibility and offensive capability. Benefiting from the operational experience acquired by the Wehrmacht during the first years of the conflict, they presented an excellent compromise between speed on all types of terrain, protection and firepower. They could reach a maximum speed of 85km/h on the road. Among the different versions produced, the Sd.Kfz.234/3 was armed with a 75mm KwK37 short-tube cannon installed in an open-air combat compartment. This weapon was effective in supporting infantry or neutralizing poorly protected targets and light armored vehicles.
