Productbeschrijving : Junkers Ju52/3m
Produced from the early 1930s for civilian use with Lufthansa and other major airlines, the Junkers Ju-52/3m was characterized by its airframe covered with corrugated metal plates and the addition of two additional engines on its wings (3m). This robust and reliable aircraft was quickly adapted for military purposes by the Luftwaffe, primarily for transport. The Ju52, affectionately nicknamed “Aunt Ju”, was used on all fronts throughout the Second World War and served as the mainstay of German military logistics to supply ground troops. It was also used for airborne operations, notably for paratrooper drops in the Netherlands in 1940 and on Crete in 1941.
